The new direction they gave me was somewhere between Y2K and futuristic. The biggest challenge here was creating something that is readable as a word, but doesn’t stray from the referenced styles. Something that appeared to be quiet the challenge because the referenced styles use a lot of letters that look alike which can degrade the readability. I ended up trying loads of different letterforms, finetuning with each iteration.
The result is a custom wordmark that perfectly sits in the middle of the given styles and is readable. Whether that’s on a website, merchandise or a big led screen at a show. Exactly what an artist logo should do.
